Colombian director, producer, and screenwriter, founding partner of Big-Sur Películas, he has directed, co-written, and co-produced the short films Asunto de Gallos (Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival 2012), Días De Arena (Bogoshorts 2006), La Casa de Campo, shot in Barcelona (Solé Tura Award – Brain Film Fest 2012), and the feature film El Árbol Rojo, selected for the “Films in Progress” section at the San Sebastián Film Festival 2019.
El Árbol Rojo had its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2021, and was also selected for the International Film Festival of India (Goa-2021), in addition to receiving two awards at the Toulouse Latin American Film Festival 2022, among others.
In Colombia, the film was part of the official selection of the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival (FICCI), and had its commercial release in the second half of 2022, distributed by Cine Colombia.
A graduate of the Master’s Program in Film Directing at ESCAC in Barcelona, he has also worked as an assistant director on series for Canal Caracol.
As a producer, he recently premiered Querido Trópico (Panama-Colombia), officially selected for the Toronto International Film Festival (World Premiere), the San Sebastián Film Festival 2024 (European Premiere), and FICCI (Colombian Premiere). He is currently preparing the commercial release of Querido Trópico, scheduled for August 7, 2025.
