Joan Gómez Endara
Direction - Production

Colombian director, producer, and screenwriter, founding partner of Big-Sur Películas, he has directed, co-written, and co-produced the short films Asunto de Gallos (Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival 2012), Días De Arena (Bogoshorts 2006), La Casa de Campo, shot in Barcelona (Solé Tura Award – Brain Film Fest 2012), and the feature film El Árbol Rojo, selected for the “Films in Progress” section at the San Sebastián Film Festival 2019.

El Árbol Rojo had its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2021, and was also selected for the International Film Festival of India (Goa-2021), in addition to receiving two awards at the Toulouse Latin American Film Festival 2022, among others.

In Colombia, the film was part of the official selection of the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival (FICCI), and had its commercial release in the second half of 2022, distributed by Cine Colombia.

A graduate of the Master’s Program in Film Directing at ESCAC in Barcelona, he has also worked as an assistant director on series for Canal Caracol.

As a producer, he recently premiered Querido Trópico (Panama-Colombia), officially selected for the Toronto International Film Festival (World Premiere), the San Sebastián Film Festival 2024 (European Premiere), and FICCI (Colombian Premiere). He is currently preparing the commercial release of Querido Trópico, scheduled for August 7, 2025.

Ivan Sierra Sanjurjo
Production - Direction

Producer, director, and associate scriptwriter, he co-wrote the short film “BLOOD FIGHTERS” and the feature film “THE RED TREE” of which he is also a producer during the development stage, both projects directed by Joan Gómez. Since 2000 he has produced and directed fiction and documentary short and feature films, among which are “DREAMS AND SILENCE” (Official Selection International Documentary Exhibition of Bogotá – MIDBO 2000), “WET CIGARRETTES” (Stimulus of the Colombian Film Development Fund – FDC 2008), “THE SIBERIA” (Official Selection of the International Documentary Exhibition of Bogotá – MIDBO 2015), “THE LAST CRAFTSMEN OF LIGHT” (Stimulus of the Colombian Film Development Fund – FDC 2011), “RASTROS DE ANIMAL ESQUIVO” (Idartes Prize 2021, and Stimulus of the Colombian Film Development Fund – FDC 2021), the latter a documentary feature film in which he is currently working in its post-production stage.

Graduated in Film and Television Production from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, with a Master’s degree in Teaching from the Universidad de la Salle, he also works as a teacher in the Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication program at the Universidad de la Sabana, and is in parallel working in the development stage of the fiction feature film “Granuja de Barrio”, an in-house project of Big Sur Films. 

Sonia Barrera Gutiérrez
Production

Colombian film and television producer, she is co-founder of the production company “Viso Producciones”, created with the director Viviana Gómez in 2016. She studied Film, Photography and Social Communication, and has been a producer of feature films “BETWEEN  FIRE AND WATER” (Documentary / World Premiere IDFA 2020) by Viviana Gómez, co-directed by Anton Wenzel, “THROUGH THE SCREEN” by Juan Camilo Ramírez, a tribute film to the 100 years of Colombian Cinema, “LIKE LOVING CATS” (Documentary / In development), and “THE RED TREE” by Joan Gómez (Fiction/World premiere “Black Nights Tallinn Film Festival”, Estonia 2021); Winner film from the Colombian Film Fund, selected at the “Films in Progress” at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, and WIP selection at the Ventana Sur market (Buenos Aires / Argentina) 2019.

As a field producer, work on the feature films “THE WIND JOURNEYS” by Ciro Guerra (A certain Regard- Cannes Film Festival 2009), “KEYLA” by Viviana Gómez (Official Selection at  Warsaw Film Festival 2017), and “KAIRÓS” by Nicolás Buenaventura (2021). She was the executive producer at “Señal Colombia” public television channel  between 2016 and 2018, where she received the India Catalina Award for the best children’s series for “ASÍ SOMOS”. She was the director of the documentary series “GIRÓSCOPIO” (Unimedios-Prize of the Bogotá Journalism Circle). and worked in the series “TE RECREO” (Capital Channel-Prix Jeunnese International 2014).
